User associations with the real world
In some situations, it is quite important to make it possible to uniquely identify the connection between a user's account on a social network and a person or organization in the real world. This helps to fight disinformation, to fight fake personalities and helps to make sure that the content created in the account reflects the official position of a person or organization. An example of this is "verified accounts" on Twitter or Instagram.
Crypto.Page also offers a similar option for its users. There is a universal user identifier in the Crypto.Page network: the user's public key (their wallet) - account verification means an association between the public key and the name of a person / organization in the real world. Crypto.Page offers two main methods of user account verification:
After verification, the information that the account is verified is displayed in the Page.DAPP and is available via the API to third parties. User verification information is not stored on the blockchain (unless otherwise decided by Page.DAO in the future) and is stored in a centralized public repository.
For each type of verification Crypto.Page generates its own verification record, which are subsequently displayed inside Page.DAPP. Thus, the user can confirm his identity twice (for example, through a verified Twitter account and through a verified Instagram account), which will be shown to other participants of the social network, and will increase confidence in the fact of verification of this user.
It should be noted that after verification, the association between the wallet number and the real person/organization does not end only within the Crypto.Page ecosystem, but becomes public - i.e. even those people who are not Crypto.Page users will be able to find out that any wallet is associated with any organization or person.
